Kenya and Gabriela Masala

Kenya S. Masala
is a national organizational development consultant and trainer. As co-director of the Source Consulting Group, he delivers a unique blend of innovative, cutting edge information on maximizing workplace and community interactions, utilizing powerful kinesthetic experiences to drive home the learning.

He facilitates training seminars, leadership development programs, outdoor adventure experiences, and educational percussion programs. He also designs and develops multimedia curricula and interactive presentations on a national level. Kenya is a REMO endorsed rhythm program facilitator and recently produced and directed the powerful Interactive Theatrical Experience: Za Boom Ba!
He is the published author of the international classic rhythm activity book,"Rhythm Play
!" and has also released his second album, "Spacious Time."

Kenya is a dose of invigoration and vitality. With a charismatic style and effusive energy, he engages participants in highly effective and authentic growth. He ushers groups through the hard work of deepening and expanding excellence, and inspires them to celebration.


Gabriela Masala, M.A., is an energetic, creative, and multi-talented facilitator. She works extensively with groups and individuals in the areas of wellness and personal development. She masterfully blends expressive arts, yoga, dance, and ecumenical spirituality in programs that nurture mind, body and soul. Gabriela effortlessly creates a community context for authentic expression, intuitive depth and sacred wisdom to come alive. Her diverse clients speak highly of her playful vitality, which inspires their innate joy, and life celebration.

Gabriela is committed to radiant health and balanced life integration. She is a long time student and facilitator of several styles of Yoga, dance, meditation, Martial and Healing Arts. She is an author (www.theinnerwealth.com), choreographer, mother and lover of life. Gabriela currently facilitates special events and retreats locally, nationally and abroad. She serves on the faculty for the resort based, Shape Your Life™ programs. Additionally, Gabriela is a former employee of The Chopra Center for Well Being and Canyon Ranch Health Resort and Spa.

Maketa Wilborn
is a national corporate and youth development trainer and human development consultant. He designs and facilitates team building, diversity, cultural competence, leadership, and community drumming trainings. In addition to his work with NWP Maketa is the founder and principle of CPS Consulting Group, LLC and the Team and Community Development Program Coordinator and Lead Facilitator at IslandWood, on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He also serves on the Regional Board of Directors for the Northwest Association of Experiential Education.

Throughout his work, Maketa incorporates the critical concepts of creativity, sustainability, social justice and stewardship. Foundational to his approach to individual and organizational development are the concepts and practice of intentionality and appreciative inquiry. Dan Egger-Belandria draws from a wide range of professional and personal experiences to create powerful learning experiences for Source Consulting Group clients. His three areas of strength:

> Facilitating bilingual drumming programs for adults and youth;
> Designing and leading diversity training modules;
> Performing as a percussionist.

Fluent in Spanish, Dan holds a Master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's in English and Spanish from Saint Louis University. He has studied percussion in Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil and Puerto Rico.


He is inventor of the AquaDrums, which he has toured nationally, and he leads the Austin-based Latin jazz band SEÑOR GATO. Dan has lived in Latin America, Europe and various cities throughout the U.S. He now resides in Austin, Texas. Kenya and Gabriela Masala

Toca Artist and Grammy recipient Nina Rodriguez mobilizes her percussion skills for live music, studio recording, and extra-curricular activities that employ percussion to lift the spirit. Nina also facilitates Za Boom Ba™ events for The Source Consulting Group and Drumming with Nina.

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Nina Rodriguez is representative of the versatile contemporary percussionist. She knows the traditional Afro-Cuban and world rhythms but she is versatile enough to fit into a Randy Travis country session. Nina Rodriguez serves as founder and facilitator for Unlock the Rhythm events. She leads rhythm programs in performances for the public and for corporate and educational groups. Nina customizes programs and performances per client. In addition, one of Nina's greatest passions is working with children and youth.

Nina grew up in a musical family, greatly influenced by her grandfather,Henry "Papa" Garcia, a renowned band leader. She did studio tracks for Randy Travis' Grammy-winning album Rise and Shine and arranged and recorded djembe parts for Bette Sussman, Music Director for Bette Midler. www.drummingwithnina.com

Kenya and Gabriela Masala

Chris Cavert, Ed.D. has been energetically active with groups of all ages for more than 30 years. He is an award winning author, speaker and professional trainer in the area of experiential adventure-based education focusing on how activities within this field help to develop and enhance pro-social behaviors – especially with youth populations.

Chris holds a Physical Education Teaching Degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, a Masters Degree in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University at Mankato and an Educational Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University.

Currently he is an assistant professor at Northeastern Illinois University teaching preservice physical education teachers how to use adventure education in their future classrooms. Chris also continues to lead workshops and trainings nationally and internationally bringing the activities in his books to life. He works with Educators, Counselors, Recreational Staff, Camp Staff, Youth Workers, and Challenge Course Facilitators. www.fundoing.com
